Legislative Prerogative to Bow One’s Head in Reverence and Contemplative Ascent to the Spirit of All Beings

February 3, 2015

 Prayer Before the Colorado State Senate February 5, 2015

legislative prerogative to Bow One’s Head in Reverence and Contemplative Ascent to the Spirit of All Beings

“You may ask yourself do I verily believe?

In the world going round, since the dawn do you ask yourself if you believe in the world spinning round?

Is there a place for sanctuary from the storm within?

Is there a place for everyone to nestle, be safe and warm?

DO we have a responsibility for our neighbors no matter from where they emanate? You may ask yourself in the world going round are we one?

Are we related to that person hanging around?

Do we have responsibility for all spirits and ways;

be they misguided or correct in our mind’s eye.

You may ask yourself are we interconnected, and if we are,

what can we do to toil for the well-being of all citizens no matter where we hail from?

Are we not guided by a sense that everything is sacred?

You may ask yourself where are you from and whether you can be still to listen to another vision without reproach?

In the world spinning round we are alike in our hearts that we have a fundamental purpose together to listen and understand one another by embracing the other with loving compassion.”
