Pizza Fusion Going Out of Business on August 28

August 14, 2015

Pizza Fusion of the Colorado Coalition for the Homeless, a training program for homeless people to train and learn new skills in the restaurant industry.  A superlative program for people who experience homelessness.  We will rise again.  Mary A. Putman, the Director of the program made it possible for this enterprize to make tremendous changes in the lives of many people.  The workers though showed courage and aplomb in their efforts to change their lives.  We are always the catalyst for change.

After 4 years, 93,842 pizzas, 108 participants served by our job training program, and 81 graduates successfully moving on to new employment, we are closing our Pizza Fusion restaurant. Our job training program has been an amazing success, providing Colorado Coalition for the Homeless clients with an opportunity to reenter the workforce that was otherwise unavailable to them. However, the Pizza Fusion business was not sufficient enough to support the needs of our job training program. As we move forward, we are evaluating ways to improve the valuable job training opportunities we provide for our clients. Our last day of business will be August 28, so please stop by, enjoy some pizza and say goodbye. We’d love to see you and thank you for all of your support.
