Being Still and listening without judging another when we don’t agree without rancor or recriminations, these are tested skills of advocates

 

 

Being still is a honed skill that few possess.  it is essential for us to hear other points of perspective without judging a person’s character who disagrees with our approach.

You need chutzpah and humility. (to effect social change.) You need the chutzpah to know that you have a voice worth speaking, and things worth saying, and you need the humility to know that it’s vital to listen, because you may not have it right at all, or only a very partial grasp on the truth.”
