Climate Change – Poverty Over Population of Earth = Disaster and  Extinction

CLIMATE CHANGE and POVERTY: “There is a well-documented worldwide correlation between poverty and high birthrates. In little countries and big countries, capitalist countries and communist countries, Catholic countries and Moslem countries, Western countries and Eastern countries — in almost all these cases, exponential population growth slows down or stops when grinding poverty disappears. This is called the demographic transition. It is in the urgent long-term interest of the human species that every place on Earth achieves this demographic transition. This is why helping other countries to become self-sufficient is not only elementary human decency, but is also in the self-interest of those richer nations able to help. One of the central issues in the world population crisis is poverty.” – Carl Sagan “Billions and Billions” 1997 (page 17)

IT IS THEREFORE IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE WEALTHY IN ANY CITY OR STATE TO LIFT THE IMPOVERISHED IN THEIR AREAS OUT OF HOMELESSNESS TO REVERSE POPULATION GROWTH *AND* ALSO TO TRANSITION FROM FOSSIL TO RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES TO REVERSE THE EFFECTS OF CLIMATE CHANGE THAT IS DUE TO TOO MANY MECHANICAL HUMAN ACTIVITIES POLLUTING OUR SHARED PLANET.

Here’s how climate change and terrorism may actually be linked, according to Bill Nye The Science Guy.

“When I read anything political and polemical by Noam Chomsky, I think (angrily): Why isn’t anyone listening to this man?” –Paul Theroux
