hope springs from your heart

A LOVE THAT HOLDS NO BOUNDS
If We Could DO Anything Together
We’d rock in a rocking chair swing all night long
watch the growing light
play all of the music that we love
SING DANCE Laugh
Play Listen
look
hold hands
hug
Gently sway back
GOING forth
GIVING the best back scratches
foot rubs
take a long walk in the woods at night and watch the stars burst across the heavens follow the moon
get wet in the rain
soak in a tub swim across
the pools
wherever they are dive into the clear waters
drink deeply from a spring
catch the breezes
let the air flow lie down in a meadow drift off to sleep
have a picnic walk along the river stream bed
build a canopy and meditate
share reading of favorite passages aloud
offer arrays of flowers and herbs that are capable of being planted or grown
bed time tuck ins and helping with everything possible
not doing anything else but hanging out
making tea, breakfast in bed,
planning adventures far and wee
never forgetting what matters most to take it slow gently unwind
go out in the yard and down the street run errands savoring every effort whether caring for you when you’re sick or caring for you as you age
keeping mementos of when we were first aware that there was another with whom to share making surprises special promises to keep remembering what makes you feel serene apologizing when you’ve been hurt
remembering what causes you pain
personal intangibles unseen, not materialistic but full of spirit
finding a place that is a sanctuary
halcyon
make a gift from the woods
give one another a rock a stone a pebble
sit by the river bank
watch the currents ripple over the rocks
climb up on the highest promontory
watch the world go by
listen intently to whatever we have to impart
watch over one another as love birds
tell tales
regale one another with gifts that never dissipate
be present still regard each other with compassion
love
teach
learn everything we can
make a sunflower house grow a secret garden
make compost
worm boxes
look lovingly into each other’s eyes help sustain one another every day as long as we live
when we are ready
to part from this life caress the other with music
stories of grace
bless one another for the chance
always give whatever we have without end and smile without constraint
touch kiss make love with every verse every moment every way that is possible
regard the other as sacred to be coveted and swaddled in tender affection
as long as we shall
